Jewel Toned Kind of Mood

I put this look together after I saw the blouse and skirt on the Francesca's Collection email I get every day.  Their store is my fav; great prices, great selection and always have that something different I am looking for.  Loving the fact that fall is here and fall fashions are everywhere!  Fall and Winter are my favorite times of the year for fashion! Hope you enjoy this look as much as I do!  Want it in my closet to wear to work tomorrow!

2012 Honda CR-V Concept

Thinking about buying a new car?  I will be sharing my absolute love/could be called an obsession with cars! Hopefully I can help you make a decision on your next car!

September Showcase Car

2012 Honda CR-V Concept

This month I would like to showcase the 2012 Honda CR-V Concept.  There has been talk about this model coming out sometime in mid-December 2011, but don't hold your breath.  The Tsunami in Japan had a huge impact on delaying the shipping dates of cars to the United States.  When you start seeing commercials, that is when the car will be available!!

The previous CR-V models have been some of Honda's best selling models.  The CR-V is functional, attractive and very affordable starting at $22,000 for the base model. I test drove the EX-L model which comes with Navigation, leather seats, and upgraded rims.  During the test drive, the first thing I thought of was how comfortable the seats were and how when looking around the mirrors I could see everything. The shape of the windows helped reduce potential blind spot issues.  There is a 5-speed transmission, with a 2.4 liter engine and 180 horsepower. In other words, good gas mileage and enough power!  The gas mileage is estimated to be 21 City and 28 Hwy with a 15 gallon gas tank.  This means it will take about $45 to fill it up!  Safety is one of Honda's top priorities so it comes standard with front side air bags and side curtain air bags with rollover detection in the rear.
* There is plenty of head room for someone over 6'2" (that is how tall my hubby is)!
* A rear facing car seat will fit in the back seat without having to adjust the front seats forward like you have to do in a small sedan car.
* The trunk space is surprisingly big and can easily fit a full size stroller and all of those shopping bags!!
* If able to get it, the Honda Navigation system is one of the best I have ever used. It is very user friendly, the screen is large and eye friendly and can be customized with different colors. XM radio comes with the system and there is the AUX setting and a MP3 plug.
* Bluetooth is a must and it is a voice activated system and is very easy to set your phone to detect the Bluetooth every time you get in the car. (This is only available with the Navigation option)
* There is plenty of storage in the glove compartment, center console and side doors.

The Honda CR-V is a reliable and functional car. Maybe it is the next car for you?  I can promise you, you will not be disappointed!  Happy car shopping!

Garden Bench Creations

Mom and I had a special day together a couple weeks ago.  We went to Shanoda, an interior decorating store in Miramar to get stuff for the baby shower! On the way home we decided to stop in the quaint town of Rainbow to eat at the local cafe. Across the parking lot there is an outdoor antique/junk yard with random trinkets, old doors, shutters, you name it they probably have it!  We were walking around and we stumbled upon these garden benches. Speechless...absolutely speechless. Decided to get the story on them and we met the creative genius behind the benches. They put together old doors, table legs and shelves to create these. Every time I go in my backyard I think about how cute one would look! Maybe I will make a trip down there this weekend and see if they are still there!  The blue one was my fav and the one with the shutters was my moms!  The pictures just do not do them justice.  LOVE...

Vintage Marketplace

During my wedding planning 2 years ago I started following vintage blogs.  One of the blogs I was following posted a post card for The Vintage Marketplace.  It is a plethora of women who come and set up little booth boutiques with their vintage creations. There is shabby chic to vintage Hollywood glamour, from jewelry to door knobs! Everything vintage you can imagine.  My mom and I had a lot of fun continuously saying "OMG, look that this!"  The creations of some of these ladies just blows the creative meter through the roof.  Thought I would place the information on here in case anyone was interested in going to support them.  See you there!

Taga Bike

Don't blink...you are really looking at a bicycle/stroller apparatus! Not too many people have heard or seen of this bike/stroller called the Taga, but I think it is such a genius invention...and I love watching the tutorial of how to convert it from bicycle to stroller!  This is perfect for someone who lives in a downtown area or beach area or just wants something a little different and ahead of the times!  There are so many options for seats and buckets that it will work for anyone, even someone with 2 kids!  The Maxi Cosi car seats attach to the bike for infants and then seat sizes increase as the child gets older or bigger.

Take a look and enjoy the videos!

byHannahDesigns = Adorable pieces of jewelry

One of my closest girlfriends (the one I am planning the baby shower for) was a fantastically fabulous host while visiting her in Colorado, so I wanted to find a thank you gift that was not your standard gift card or candle. After searching around online I found this website for hand stamped jewelry. It came to me, she is having her first baby, she would love a personalized necklace. So I ordered a necklace that had D & A (she and her husband), a little pearl and Madison (the baby's name). When I got it and opened it, it was adorable and great quality. When Amanda got it, she said she almost cried!  Looking forward to ordering more for different people for different occassions!

**Happy Shopping**

Dani

Just a couple nursery ideas!

Absolutely love the dark chocolate walls with the light furniture. The furniture is simple stated with a touch of class! Love, love.

Can we say calming? The colors in this room are so calming and relaxing I would want to snuggle up on that chair and read a book or rock a baby. The colors in this room can easily grow with the baby and the hard wood floors are so rich.

This is so rustic and organic. Any accent colors could be brought into this room so it could fit either a girl or a boy. The bird houses hanging are so chic and the miss matched furniture is so "in" right now. Adding a chair and a vintage or rustic floor lamp would complete this look and the hanging birds are a simple mobile for the baby.

How's this for luxury? This could be for any gender baby.  The wall sconces make the room look a little "old" for my liking, but the chandelier and cribs are works of art. This furniture is like a piece of jewelry and the fabric looks luscious. The babies in this room are probably the most well dressed babies around!
